When is Ashtami Rohini celebrated?
As the name suggests, Ashtami Rohini is celebrated when Rohini nakshatra prevails during the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Shravan (Purnimantha) or Bhadrapada (Amantha) month as per the Hindu calendar. In Kerala, the Ashtami - Rohini combination in the month of Chingam as per the Malayalam calendar is considered as Sri Krishna Jayanthi.
