    Carrot chutney can be served with idly and dosa

    Ingredients

    medium carrot-2
    sambar onion-10
    ginger-1inch piece
    chana dal- 1tsp
    whole red chillies-10-12 numbers
    green chillies-2 nos
    cocunu grated -1 cup
    cocunut oil- 2 tsp
    tomato big- 2

    Directions

    heat one tsp oil.. add chana dal and red chllies.
    when chana dal changes colour, remove from the pan.
    adda another spoon oil in the same pan. put choped ginger and stir for 5 seconds, then add, medicum choped onions and statue.add, green chillis . when onion becomes soft , add tomato , statue for 3-4 minutes, then add finally cut carrots and cook for 10 mnts. add one cup water, if required. when carrots cooked, add grated cocunut and remove from fire. allow to cool, and grate it along with chana dal, red chilli and salt.
