Chinese Lucky Number 2:
Chinese have a saying, 'good things always come in pairs'; this is because this number, pronounced as 'er' denotes 'germination and harmony'. At birthdays and wedding celebrations, gifts are generally given in even numbers particularly in pairs. For such celebrations, the decorations also are seen in pairs like pairs of red candles, double pillows and couplets on the sides of the walls. In business, brand names of products may have double symbols for the same reason.
