Nissan is making its presence felt in the Indian automobile market with its various models. It is now all set to introduce the Sylphy in the executive sedan category. This model will occupy the slot between the Teanna and the Sunny. It was first unveiled at the Beijing Auto show in 2011 and is expected to be launched in India in 2014. The price will vary between Rs 12 to 15 lacs. This model is in direct competition with the Renault Fluence, Toyota Corolla Altis, Volkswagen Jetta and the Skoda Laura.

The Nissan Sylphy have already been launched across several countries including Malaysia and other countries of south Asia. It remains a popular car in its segment. The car has also been introduced in USA, Canada and Brazil under different names. The Sylphy is expected to fill the gap in this category and represent Nissan easily in the competition.
