Maruti Suzuki Solio made its Indian debut at the New Delhi Auto Expo in 2012. This famous hatchback is already available to Japanese customers under codename Yk8. The siblings of this car - MR Wagon and Palette have small engines. But Solio is equipped with a comparatively bigger engine. In Japan, it is sold as next-generation WagonR – that is a very popular car in India. Solio has been a hit in Japan- it has been Suzuki Motor Corporation’s highest selling model (excluding the Kei cars). The Indian market is dominated by fuel efficient and small hatchbacks. The Solio is thus expected to be a success in India as well. It is expected to be launched in the starting of the next year.
