    Thani naadan mathi varattiyathu by using less oil.

    Ingredients

    Mathi(sardiens)-1kg
    Kunjulli(small onions)-1/2cup
    Thakkali-2nos
    Pachamulaku-2nos
    Inji-1pc
    Garlic-1full
    Malli Podi-1tble Spoon
    Mulaku Podi-1tble Spoon
    Kurumulaku Podi-1/2teaspoon
    Manjal podi-1/2teaspoon
    Salt-2 teaspoon
    Oil-2 tble Spoon
    Kaduku-1teaspoon
    Puli-1small Ball
    Curry Vepila-2strings

    Directions

    Slice the small onion,green chilli,tomatoes.crush the garlic and ginger.Pour the oil once it become hot add mustard and curry leaves.Add sliced onions green chillies and crushed ginger garlic.Saute it well and add turmeric,chilli and pepper and saute well till raw smell goes.Add sliced tomatoes and saute well.Add salt and pour water and Tamarind juice.Once it boil and will be thick remove half of the mixture from the vessel.Place the sardiens in one layer and add the other half of the masala on top and cover with a tight lid and cook in simmer flame.Once all the water got absorb and become dry switch of the gas and serve with rice or chappathi.
