Ram Navami – 17 April 2024
Rama Navami, observed on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of the Hindu month of Chaitra, is celebrated by people across the nation commemorating the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh Avatar of Lord Vishnu. In 2024, the Rama Navami is on the 17th of April.
On April 17, the sun rises at 06:08 AM and sets at 06:44 PM. The Navami Tithi commences at 01:24 PM on April 16th and ends at 03:14 PM the following day. The Puja Muhurat is from 11:10 AM to 01:42 PM, and the Rama Navami Madhyahna Moment is at 12:26 PM.
Lord Rama was born to bring peace and prosperity, to save people from evil, and to end the riotous reign of the demon king Ravana. Devotees observe fasting, recite the Holy Ramayan, enchant hymns and mantras, and many other special rituals and functions are organized, marking the birth of Lord Ram.
In many parts of the country, the day is also observed as the marriage anniversary of Lord Ram and Sita. In South India, Kalyanotsavam, a ceremonial wedding, is arranged to mark the marriage of Rama and Sita.
On this Ram Navami, may Lord Ram Bless everyone with peace and prosperity. Happy Ram Navami! Jai Shree Ram!!
