Hollywood is filled with talented people who have gone through so much in their life to get to the position where they are now. And talking about the ladies of the film industry, life was never easy for them in the beginning. The actress went through a tough childhood. While she was studying in her school, the actress went through severe bullying that she had to come to a tough decision of finally quitting school. She finally left school after completing her ninth grade and completed the rest of her education by being home schooled.

Angelina Jolie

The gorgeous actress had a life-changing turn in her career when the doctors told her that she inherited a gene that would most likely end up with her being affected with breast cancer at some point in her life. Not willing to take the risk, Jolie went through a double mastectomy to make sure that she would never have to suffer from the disease. But the actress also had to go through another painful procedure after she learned that she also chances of developing ovarian cancer.
A strong-willed cancer survivor, she still remains strong to this day and the experience led her to become an advocate for the Breast Cancer education.
Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett went through the most heartbreaking experience in her childhood when her father passed away. At just the mere age of ten, Cate’s father suddenly had a heart attack and died at the age of forty leaving Cate’s mother and her siblings to look after themselves. However her strong mother never got married again, never gave up and still took the initiative to raise Cate and her siblings all by herself.
The actress somehow managed to get over the pain and grief by focusing on her acting work which gave her the much-needed peace in life. She credits her mother for her workaholic nature and still remembers how her mother would struggle just to make ends meet.
Charlize Theron

Initially, the actress started her career as a model and spent around a year in the modeling industry. However, she never was never keen on using her beauty to become successful. In fact, even though she did maintain a good body during those years she hated being judged only for her physique. The actress would intentionally show up to her acting auditions wearing baggy t-shirts and jeans in the hopes that the judges would focus more on her acting skills than her mere looks.
Eventually, the judges recognized her acting skills and she started getting roles. She slowly even began to appreciate and love her body. This sums up why she has a reputation for losing or gaining a considerable amount of weight in preparations for her roles.
Natalie Portman

Unbeknownst to many people, Natalie Portman is actually a Harvard Graduate. But the actress who is famous now never enjoyed the fame life back then and was treated like any other regular Harvard student. During her time there the actress went through a lot of struggles which ranged from weight gain to depressing moments in her life and even having to go through the cold Cambridge winters.
But with some assistance from her professor and help from her friends, the actress rose back up. She finally graduated with Honors in 2003 with an A.B in Psychology.
Emma Stone

You can easily recognize her because of uniquely husky and yet confident voice. Well, the reason for this was because she had a baby colic as a child. A condition that causes the child to cry for hours for no apparent reason. After this went on for about six months it gradually led to the development of nodules on her vocal chords.

Helena Bonham Carter

An actress who is so dedicated towards her career, these were some of the things Helena Bonham Carter did to prepare for the role of Mrs. Lovett in the gothic musical movie Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She went through extensive vocal lessons and even learned baking. The actress also used to rehearse her songs while simultaneously practicing her baking techniques in order to incorporate both the elements into a musical rhythm.
What many people still don’t know is that throughout the filming of the movie, Sweeney Todd, Helena was pregnant with her second child with ex-husband – Tim Burton. She even insisted that the filming be done out of sequence as she was concerned about her visible bodily changes during that period.
