SsangYong Motor Company is one of the largest South Korea based automobile manufacturer. Ssangyong was founded in the year 1954 and today it manufacturers an impressive array of SUVs and is in the forefront in SUV manufacturing. In 2011, 70% of the Ssangyongs shares were acquired by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The company launched its first SUV, Rexton, in the Indian Market in 2012.
